The Very Hungry Maxwell

In the light of the bowling alley a little baby grew in his mother's belly.

One Thursday morning there was finally room at the hospital and - pop! - out came a very hungry Maxwell.

He started to look for some food.

On Friday he ate through one carton of yogurt.

On Saturday he ate through two servings of hummus.

On Sunday he ate through three crackers.

On Monday he ate through four slices of bacon.

On Tuesday he ate through five pretzels, but he was still hungry.

So, on Wednesday he ate through a piece of cake,
 a waffle,
 and some tortellini.

That night he had a stomachache!

The next night was Thursday again.
Maxwell ate through one nice fruit smoothie, and after that he felt much better.

Now he wasn't hungry anymore-and he wasn't a little baby anymore.
He was a big toddler.

He built a small house, called a puffy coat, around himself. He stayed inside for the whole winter.

On the first day of spring he unzipped his puffy coat and pushed his way out and....
...rode his bike in the house because it was still freezing out.

Happy first day of spring!
